Using Wireframes for Marketing Purposes

A lot of developers use wireframe tools to design user interface designs of new devices and applications. These wireframes are useful for speeding up communication with different departments. For example the graphic design team will need to communicate with the development team, and the marketing team will want to present concepts to customers for feedback. But wireframes are not only a good option for drafting a website, but these can also be used to communicate small changes that should be made, such as a special promotion on a website.

How to use wireframes for your merchandising strategy?

Wireframes are sketches of the individual pages of a website or software application. Using wireframes to visualize your marketing strategy is very simple. Look at your current website and think about the changes you want to apply to promote your new product or special offer. The first ideas which come to your mind should be sketched out on paper. When you have selected a design you would like, you can create a more detailed prototype with a wireframe tool. Drafts created with wireframe software are often interactive and therefore are close to the design of the final marketing designs. I often create banners for my website, or add text about special deals in the account section of the website for my existing customers. I find that using a wireframe tool with screenshots of my existing site is the best way for me to find areas of my website where I can advertise a new offer or product. Remember, you can’t underestimate the value of marketing, but remember that your brand and user experience should not be affected by these offers.
